The old witch’s garden
Welcome to the Old Witch’s Garden first blog post! This is a garden project my mom has been planning and putting off for years but now is finally the time to undertake what’s she’s been procrastinating. Let’s get to work!
Every Sunday she watches Garden’s World on the BBC and a lot of other gardening shows as well. She never stops learning about plants and she can name quite a few in Latin! She actually also studied Latin (but this is just me bragging).
For years she has had a love for gardening, cooking, crocheting and sewing (basically all the things I fail at). She loves doing things with her hands, despite having osteoarthritis. She believes working with her hands gives her strength and so it does.
Now that both of her children have grown up, she can make time for her own hobbies and things she is passionate about. One thing being this garden:
This is the garden she has been looking at for over 25 years. It has known many states and even was without the terrace deck for a while. Her dreams for this garden are simple:
An herb spiral
Lots of well-taken care of plants
A neat and well-looked after environment
Lovely colors
A witch’s 'vibe’
Cool things for cool prices
She will be posting progress photos as she goes. I am sure she can make something beautiful out of this!
