Focus & prioritize for a respoNsible life
In young adulthood, we are often told we should focus and prioritize on certain important things in our lives: saving money, going to certain schools, dating the right kind of people and basically what kind of trajectory to take in life. However; I have then been focusing on the wrong kind of things. But what are the actual things we should be focusing upon? Who decides that?
“As I see fit!” Should be the actual answer to this. But focusing and prioritizing are more than just means in order to create a ‘responsible life’. Focusing and prioritizing are the actual gateways to your desired reality.
When one focuses, one puts energy towards a certain thing. When one puts energy towards a certain thing (this certain thing can be wanted or unwanted), one will attract that certain thing. These are the basics of the Law of Attraction and it is what should be taught in schools instead of whatever the hell it is they teach these days.
These days we get told by people who we don’t want to be like, what we should do with our lives. I’m not saying every person in people’s lives does this, but a lot of them seem to know the answers to a lot of our problems. Well guess what: I will not listen to you because you don’t have the life I want to live. The only person I would listen to is a succesful published author who is a multi-millionaire. But one can only dream right?
So what should we focus upon? Whatever it is that you want in your life. Focus on what makes you happy even if the whole world starts to crumble around you. Because it doesn’t matter how unsatisfying and out of your control your situation is right now, your focus is the one and only thing you can actually control. It is the one and only thing you need to control. Why? Law of Attraction will take care of the rest. That is why it’s called: The law of Attraction.
You attract the things in your life you focus upon. So if you think your life is boring and not a lot happens in it, then that’s exactly what you’re going to get. And I am not immune to this either! I am going through this right now.
As a person becomes more conscious of their thoughts and what they’re actually thinking (what their ego is thinking and what they’ve identified themselves with, because they are not their thoughts. A person is separate from their thoughts.), the negative thoughts become more uncomfortable because they don’t slip by the conscious mind anymore. And if the conscious person decides it to be true because the ego has its subtle and conniving ways, the conscious person will find themselves at a loss. As if they’re starting all over again, and in a way they have to. They will have to shift their focus.
Your focus is very important. It is actually the only important thing and it creates more useful things than action will ever do. But in today’s world, we are taught that action creates things. We have to be productive and work hard in order to get the things we want. We have to move the mountains, even if we feel unhappy doing so.
I would advice you to try it out for yourselves as I know how hard it is to believe that action isn’t as productive as you might think (I still have difficulty making that shift in my mind too.). Action isn’t to be made obsolete either, but the state of mind you’re in while your taking action, that’s what is most important.
Now that I go through life, I try to stop giving my focus and priorities to the things I think I should be doing. Instead, I focus on the things I want to be doing. I choose to focus on things that make me happy and fulfilled, the people who make me smile and full of joy and on life itself and the gratitude I feel. These are the things that are actually fun to focus upon, these are the things that make me happy thus, make the world happy.
As above so below.
But be warned: it isn’t as easy as it sounds to keep your focus on the wanted things, but it gets easier with practice and impossible it is not.
Q: What do you like to focus upon?
