Get your mind set on a new mindset

Still a lot of us don’t seem to know how important our mindset is. Dr. Joe Dispenza likes to explain the influence of our mindset (or our thoughts) like this:

The same thoughts always lead to the same choices;

The same choices always lead to the same behaviors and actions;

The same behaviors and actions always lead to the exact same experiences;

The same experiences produce the same emotions;

Those same emotions begin to influence your very same thoughts.

Most people are stuck in this cycle and wish to change their lives badly. But where do you start?

If you want to change your mindset but don’t know where to begin, I recently posted a video about this very topic so be sure to check it out! ⬇️

Now, for those who are not going to watch the video, there is not really a right way to do this. You have to decide what best fits you and what feels natural to you. Any coach, spiritual leader or public speaker who tells you there is only one and right way to do this, is listening to their ego’s voice who’s sole purpose is to be right.

You decide what is right for you in your life, always.

So, now that we’ve got that out of the way, the number 1 most important factor of shifting your mindset has to do with:

Your mental diet.

As described in the preface of this blogpost, your thoughts dictate how you feel thus; how you behave and what you experience and so on. This is a simplification of the complexity of the troubles in a person’s mind. But to be honest: let’s just keep it simple. We shouldn’t make things more complicated than they need to be.

It is very simple to be happy, but it is very difficult to be simple.
— Rabindranath Tagore

There are a couple of ways to go about this. You could firstly begin by becoming an observer of your thoughts. Really begin noticing what your mind is actually saying to you. Most of us think our thoughts are a part of our personality, but what they actually are is a collection of all of the things you’ve heard, said and most of all: identified with. So instead of saying:

‘‘I can’t change, this is just who I am.’’

If you really wish to change start saying:

‘‘I can be whoever I decide to be.’’ Because you can.

This is really the first step when changing your mindset. You realize who is the one in control: you.

You start owning it. I don’t care how unnatural it feels to maybe go from place A to F, if you want to feel confident but really don’t feel that right now, aggressively affirming could change your mind. If that’s too hard, then go from place A to B. Start saying:

‘‘I’m getting more comfortable within myself every single day.’’

Or something like that.

So method 1: (aggressively) affirming to yourself.

It is free I promise.

A very simple and effective method anyone can do from any place. But beware of the illusion of its simplicity, (this is also mindset though. If you decide it’s easy, it will be.) because the ego will start to play tricks on you. The ego (negative thoughts; because you’re separate from your thoughts) survives because you identify yourself with it. You then think those thoughts are a part of your identity when they really aren’t.

Method 2: feeling your way into it.

A more subtle approach than the first one, but the same premise. You go from place A to place B, so that you move gradually through the different vibrations in order to reach the desired one. As your vibrational standpoint dictates what you attract in your life, because the law clearly states: like attracts like.

There is not a single thing in your life which you haven’t attracted, even if the thing was unwanted. You, subconsciously or consciously, were a vibrational match to that thing at one point in your life. It is not just the wanted things, but also the unwanted things. Everything in the universe is objective, our thoughts about it make it subjective you see. We make it good or we make it evil.

So gradually feeling your way into it can be a fantastic approach if you’re new to this sort of thing. It makes sure you don’t feel like you’re fooling yourself when saying affirmations whilst you are in utter disbelief of them.

Fun fact: it actually does not matter if you believe a belief or don’t believe a belief, if you assume it to be true, it must come true.

Neville Goddard wrote and talked a lot about it and called it: The Law of Assumption:

‘‘The Law of Assumption states that whatever you assume as true becomes your reality. So the key to using the Law of Assumption to manifest your desires is to assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled.’’

Method 3: Visualize, daydream and imagine.

If you don’t really like to say affirmations to yourself or you are not a big believer of them, you can always do the visual approach and start imagining what you would be like as this new person, who has this new mindset. When you imagine and eventually start becoming this person, you are shifting realities. This is really not as sci-fi as it sounds, because you do this daily without noticing.

Time isn’t real. It is a manmade concept and an energetic agreement we all have subconsciously made. What I mean by this: we all believe it’s true. And it feels true because we have a clock that tells the time, seasons that change and days and nights. But what if the seasons and days and nights are just cycles of the earth? And the clock without putting any meaning to it, is only a round thing with numbers on it. Is time real because it feels real or because it is real? Because the earth really does not know the difference between Monday and Friday or knows when you have to work or go to the doctor’s.

So, all there is is this present moment. All there ever will be is this present moment. IT IS LITERALLY THE ONLY THING HAPPENING. There is nothing else, there is never going to be anything else nor do we need anything else. This also means that we can literally jump realities. You have done this before when finding your keys, losing 5 kilos or you get into a new romantic relationship. This is also the reason why some people manifest instantly, or why you should say your affirmations in the present tense.

Because time is not real, we are simply jumping from moment to moment. Time feels real because of day and night, the seasons and the round thing hanging on your wall. So, visualize and daydream like crazy! Feel you becoming who you truly want to be and your mindset will change.

These are the three main methods I like to use to shift my mindset. But as I said: there is no right way of doing this. Do what feels right and natural to you. The most important thing to remember is that you can and are allowed to change your entire mindset and personality.

Your personality is what creates your personal reality.
