“What we fear we already live in, because we’re living in fear.”
There’s never a good time to mistake fear for truth. Fear is not the truth, but there’s a lot of truth to be found in fear. And because most of us are, in fact, not running away from a tiger, it might be time to look at fear through a different lens and learn what fear actually is.
Fear is a paradox.
To put it extraordinarily simply: If you fear something, you live in that fear.
Because… You fear it.
Is this too simple to be true?
Here are a few examples that explain it better:
1.
Fear of rejection → You reject yourself first
Example: Someone is afraid of rejection in relationships, so they don’t fully open up or express their thoughts and feelings. But in doing so, they’re already rejecting themselves and creating the emotional distance they feared others would cause.
2.
Fear of failure → You stop trying (and fail)
Example: A person dreams of starting a business, but they’re afraid it might fail. So they procrastinate, overthink, and never actually take the leap. The failure they feared — not succeeding — has already happened through inaction.
3.
Fear of being judged → You censor yourself (and judge yourself)
Example: A woman wants to post vulnerable or spiritual content online but fears people will think she’s “too much.” So she waters herself down or stays silent. The judgment she feared — being seen as “not acceptable” — becomes her inner narrative, even without external criticism.
4.
Fear of abandonment → You cling to or push people away (and become “abandoned”)
Example: Someone fears being left by others, so they either become overly controlling or distance themselves first to avoid pain. In both cases, the connection erodes, and they end up alone, abandoned by their behaviour.
5.
Fear of not being good enough → You never show your real self (you deem yourself not good enough)
Example: A highly intuitive person fears they’re not “qualified” enough to coach or speak publicly. So they keep learning but never launch. The fear of inadequacy manifests as invisibility — they never give themselves a chance to be enough because they stay hidden.
Isn’t this interesting? What we fear, we’re already living, because we’re living in fear.
GET. THIS. IN. YOUR. NOGGIN.
Because it could change your entire life.
Fear is based on lies, the lies you tell yourself.
But for fear to be perpetuated, you need to lie to yourself.
How?
By already living in the fear you’re so afraid of, so that you don’t find out that the fear itself is not real.
And when you go on, you will forget this. You’ll return to it and believe its lies as your own. Because you’re perpetuating it. Because you’re already living in it. And that is what makes it seem real.
And you’ll live in fear; fearful of what could happen, while living in that fear.
Already living what could happen.
The reasons that can get you out and make you realise that what made you afraid was based on nothing but an idea are that it is all just based on an idea.
The paradox is real with this one, because the entirety of fear is a paradox.
Why? Because it goes against who we naturally are —> positive, light beings.
How? To make us live in lies we tell ourselves.
Why (again)? To learn, become awesome badasses, and to experience life?
I think.
Much love and light,
Juliet.
